Solutions In Fixing Dark Circles Under The Eye
August 14, 2008 |
Dark circles under one’s eyes is a common problem that is associated with a wide array of different causes. Luckily despite the fact that these discolored bags under our eyes are so hard to get rid of, there are a few techniques that will allow us to make sure they don’t return any time soon.
The majority of society associates dark skin under the eyes with lack of sleep. And in this case, they are usually right- lack of sleep is one of the leading causes of this condition. If you find yourself too busy to find sleep, try to take naps here and there when there are down times in your schedule. Not doing so may lead to poor blood circulation and a worse discoloration.
Another less fortunate cause of the condition is the fact that one can get dark circles under their eyes simply because it may be hereditary. Studies show that the condition is passed on from generation to generation in families that have a history of the condition. This isn’t to say there still aren’t solutions, there is just more of a chance that things such as sleep won’t completely cure the condition.
Getting a better skin tone under one’s eyes is sometimes as simple as going to the local supermarket and picking up a cucumber. Cucumber slices have long been used to put over the eyes during sleep or during relaxation periods. The slices will promote skin glow and health- which will in turn make the dark circles under one’s eyes start to disappear within a few days.
Tea bags have also been known to contain tannin, which has shown similar effects as cucumber slices. If a cucumber isn’t handy, try to find a tea mixture with tannin and apply the mixture under one’s eyes with a damp cloth or rag. Leave the cloth for optimal results so that the tannin can soak into the skin for best efficiency. If you aren’t comfortable with leaving the mixture overnight, 10-15 minutes should be plenty of time to absorb the materials.
If one has access to vitamin K, which is in most types of beneficial skin creams, it should be applied under the eyes on a daily basis. Another common cause of dark circles under the eye is the lack of vitamin K, in which apply a cream will return the vitamin K levels back to normal. Most people see a significant difference in skin discoloration from this solution alone.
In Conclusion
If nothing else works out, there is always a long list of cosmetics that can cover up any type of skin discoloration. Speak to a cosmetologist or any chic friend of yours for more information on where to get the right cosmetics until a solution is found for this disdainful problem.
