Ask anyone on the street if there is a difference between purses and handbags, and they will generally reply that they are equal. This is false however, considering that purses and handbags as well as other types of bags are quite different. For some the difference is small, but for those that know better, the differences are quite obvious. Purses are great objects for formals and other events where a small carry bag is needed.

Purses are always readily available, anywhere, any time, any store. There are decorative purses, funky purses, and simple solid colored purses. They come in any color imaginable, and offer versatility for women, and possibly men, of all ages and backgrounds. There is a purse with a logo from nearly every company imaginable, and any character. Hello Kitty to Transformers, there will be a purse for it.

High fashion designers are big in the purse designing business. There are a plethora of designers that make purses specifically for special events such as, Weddings, Sweet 16’s, runway shows, and many more. While not everyone can afford a designer label purse, there are new designers on the scene that would probably be willing to make a purse for you at a significantly lower price. Designer purses generally last years and years, and are made “just so”. Quality is of utmost importance to them.

Purses can be purchased in virtually any store. Malls are a popular place. There are usually massive sales on purses, and small boutiques such as Claire’s offer cute options for younger people. Dillard’s, Hudson, JC Penny, Sears, and Macy’s are all great options for a high quality purse. If you are a teenager, or are buying a present for a younger person, Claire’s, Hot Topic, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Wet Seal, Abercrombie, and Aeropostale are all great options.

Purses are easy to carry, cute, and a unique representation of who you are as a person. Women love to carry purses because they offer an easy way to show a part of your personality. Children, teenagers, and elderly ladies can all enjoy carrying purses. Children love them because they make them feel grown up. Many little girls like to play dress up, and love getting their mothers or grandmothers old purses to play with.
